SafetyChain is excited to announce the details for the June 2024 monthly release!

Before we get to the release details, we want to showcase a few highlights that were made this month in case you missed them:

  • June 2024 Customer Webinar: New & Improved Supplier Compliance Module - While the Supplier Compliance Management module has many benefits, we wanted to add more. In June's Customer Webinar, we dove into the new and improved benefits to our Supplier Compliance Management Module that was released in May 2024.

    • Be sure to visit the Knowledge Base, or click the link above, to hear a playback!

  • SafetyChain Power BI Connector in the Microsoft Ideas Portal - We are planning to expand upon our integrations and enable access through Power BI Dataflows, Datamarts, and refresh published reports without an on-premise connector. To accelerate this work, we would like to get the new connector certified by Microsoft. That’s where we need your help:

    • To assist in getting this published in the marketplace, we are asking customers to vote for the idea on the Microsoft Fabric ideas portal, linked above or by clicking here.

    • The more votes it receives, the more likely we will get published, which will improve access for your organization. In addition, this will allow us to distribute out of the box reports and applications for your organization’s use.

June Version Numbers

For customers using MDM to update the apps following this release, please use the below links. These will also be available in the Apps stores.

A reminder from your Product and Support team: Ensuring your devices have the most recent SafetyChain App version is highly advised. If you are using an old version of the SafetyChain app for your mobile submissions, you are at risk for unexpected behavior and will not be able to take advantage of all new mobile features.

Features Released

Mobile Apps

  • (iOS & Android) Backend Functionality Improvements: We are releasing an improvement to the backend functions of the application that will greatly speed up data load times. At this time, there is no impact to existing functionality; however, as mentioned above, ensuring your devices have the most recent SafetyChain App version is highly advised.

OEE

  • (OEE) Slowdown Threshold Attribute Field Added: Added Slowdown Threshold attribute field values to OEE Batch Summary Table. This data was not previously available in the Batch Summary Table and will now allow the user to use the values in desired calculations in custom reports.

  • (OEE) Updated Name in Tag Diagnostics: If a user updates a Line or Machine Resource name, Tag Diagnostics will display the updated name. Previously, changing the Resource name caused the configuration to stop working. Historical data will reflect the name that was used at the time the record was created.

Resources

  • (LINK) One-Click Filter Removal in 'Resources by Attributes' View: In the Resources module, the “Resources by Attributes” view allows users to filter by multiple attribute values to display relevant resources. However, if users wanted to remove those filters, they were previously required to open the filter panel and clear each filter individually. We’ve now added a simpler method to remove the applied filters by adding a new “Show All” button on the screen. If a user has filters applied, clicking this button will quickly remove the filters in one click. You can continue to add filters at any time and clear the filters with this action as needed.

    • Currently, if you add filters you must hit the “Remove”/”Clear” next to each filter and then “Search and Filter” to reapply the filter actions.

Supplier Compliance

  • (LINK) Customer Notice When Accessing the Portal: We have made technical improvements to ensure suppliers always see the Customer Notice message according to your specified settings when they log into the Supplier Portal, whether by following a link from a notification or logging in directly.

Bugs Resolved

LINK

  • (LINK) Attachments were being included on COA Utility even after “Include Images” was unchecked. This has been fixed and unchecking the option will no longer include any attachments.

  • (LINK) Fixed an issue where the field value was incorrectly displaying as a date on the Spreadsheet View.

  • (LINK) Filters applied from the Grid view or Spreadsheet view were previously visible but not actionable. These filters will, now, no longer display in the Dynamic Flow Records view.

  • (LINK) The Resources list in the Unreleased Form slide out in Forms Manager did not successfully display updates when a draft of a form was saved until the form was released. This has been fixed and the Resources list will now properly display on a Draft Form.

OEE

  • (OEE) Updated query performance and error handling on the Pareto View.

Supplier Compliance

  • (LINK) Previously, a warning message displayed when users opened a document for approval from LINK stating that their connection was not private. This has been resolved.

Monthly Logistics

  • Release Dates: We intend to release these enhancements into the Live environment on Sunday, 7/7/2024. This will impact both Web & LINK, and the mobile apps will also be published on this date.

  • Downtime: SafetyChain’s monthly release cycle requires one window of downtime, which takes place during the Web release and affects both the Web and LINK applications. During the 90 minutes of downtime, users may continue to operate in Offline Mode via the Mobile Apps (learn more about this here). Note: Downtime does not occur during the LINK release.

This month’s downtime start & end times are as follows:
