August 2024 Release: iOS & Android "SafetyChain App" Updates

Related to this recently published Spotlight post, there have been several enhancements and fixes made to the Android & iOS "SafetyChain App" applications (version 1.2). These enhancements will be released on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. At that time, the update will be available in all of the app stores or via the method below.

Here is how you can access the app:

• Google Play & Apple App Store: Search for "SafetyChain App"

• MDM: Use App name “SafetyChain App”

• APK (Android only): Access the APK in this Dropbox folder

Features Released

Mobile

• Removed an error screen flash that was visible after successfully authenticating with SSO.

• Fixed an SSO login issue where a user would not be granted access to the application after a successful login.

• Resolved an issue where tasks submitted from SafetyChain App are not visible on the web.

• Delivered the mobile report screen, APIs, and filtering capabilities.

• Implemented functionality that will prevent users from continuing form entry and submission if they’ve entered a numeric value that is outside of the predefined range of accepted values.

• Resolved an issue where the application would “hang” after clicking the clear all submission icon in Settings.

• Resolved issues with parsing barcodes to extract various attributes including the Product Code and Supplier Code.

• Resolved an issue where fields were not refreshing if they were the child of a section or field group.

• Added a condition to handle cases where Input Mask fields are saved as empty strings. This case previously restricted field entry.

• Resolved an issue where minimizing the SafetyChain App resulted in the user being automatically logged out.

• Improved a user instruction during login for locating and inputting the correct tenantname value.

• Improved the user experience by allowing users to click into text fields and type without needing to click exactly on the cursor current location, specifically in the Corrective Action and Comment fields.

• Ensured that users were logged out as expected in consideration of the idle timeout configurations in Settings.

• Improvements to the UI of the Saved Forms screen.

• Improved expression logic as relates to working with 0’s. Under some conditions they were treated as False rather than as 0, complicating the use of numeric fields with expression rules containing arithmetic operators.

• (Android) Minor UI adjustment to eliminate overlap between the Last Refresh value and the search bar / sort filter.

• (iOS) Resolved an issue where logging in with SSO and subsequently downloading all Forms resulted in being logged out with the SSO option no longer available for login.
