1.23 OTA4 Release & Download Process Updates
Hello SafetyChain Mobile Users,
On Tuesday, 12-August, we will push the next over-the-air (OTA) release to the mobile app. This includes important fixes and performance improvements. You can see the full list of changes in the Improvements Hub post SafetyChain Mobile App v1.23.
Going forward, all future OTA release notes will be added to the original app store full build release note entry in the Improvements Hub. The initial release note post will still generate an email notification, and we recommend saving the Improvements Hub link so you can easily return to see any future OTA updates, as these additions won't trigger a new notification.
OTA Reminder! Over-the-air updates are applied seamlessly when you open the SafetyChain app. These updates do not affect any of your in-progress data. Your pending submissions and saved forms will be waiting for you right where you left them.
Important Update: Data Downloading Process
This release includes a crucial change to how data is downloaded to your devices. This fix addresses a bug that was causing some users to occasionally miss forms or tasks, especially in low-network conditions.
To ensure you have access to all the forms and tasks you need, we've adjusted the downloading process. While this change is a crucial first step, you may notice slower download times, especially when a user first logs in to the SafetyChain app on a new device.
We are actively working on further improvements to optimize this process and minimize any impact on your workflow. We appreciate your patience as we make these necessary changes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of your data.
Thank you,
The SafetyChain Team
