SafetyChain M2 Update - Decommissioning Details and Timeline
We will be decommissioning our legacy mobile application, SafetyChain M2, on March 1, 2025. Please see below for timeline details and the screen modifications that SafetyChain M2 users will see at various points in the decommissioning timeline.
M2 Decommissioning Details
Important Notes
When the SafetyChain M2 application is officially decommissioned, user login will not be possible. Any pending transactions will need to be finalized before SafetyChain M2 is decommissioned; this includes saved forms that need to be submitted. It is critical that our customers begin working on a plan to migrate to the new SafetyChain App across their organization.
Key Dates
October 2024 - The SafetyChain M2 app will receive its final update.
November 1, 2024 - We can no longer update the SafetyChain M2 app. This means we will not be able to fix bugs, perform maintenance, and we will not be doing any new feature work for the SafetyChain M2 app.
March 1, 2025 - The SafetyChain M2 app will be officially decommissioned and users will no longer be able to login. Users must have transitioned to the new SafetyChain App to continue using SafetyChain on their mobile devices.
M2 Decommissioning Timeline - Screen Modification Details
October 2024: The below message will begin displaying on the login screen of the SafetyChain M2 app.
Beginning 03/01/2025, the SafetyChain M2 mobile app will be decommissioned.
January 1, 2025: The below message will be displayed on the login screen of the SafetyChain M2 app and a “Days Remaining” countdown will be visible. The Days Remaining countdown indicates how many days remain before SafetyChain M2 is decommissioned.
Please switch to the new SafetyChain App to continue using SafetyChain on your devices. Beginning 03/01/2025, the SafetyChain M2 mobile app will be decommissioned.
XX Days Remaining
February 28, 2025: The final day that the SafetyChain M2 app can be used.
March 1, 2025: The SafetyChain M2 app will no longer be accessible and all devices should have adopted the new SafetyChain App. If users try to access the SafetyChain M2 app, they will see one of the below messages depending on their device.
