Are you the type of person who goes to the midnight showing of the new Marvel movie? Did you buy your favorite band’s first album years before they made it big? If so, then we want you to come check out the new mobile application for iOS & Android before it hits General Availability next month!

Yes, you read that correctly. Our goal is to officially release the new mobile app on August 15 – but we can’t do it without your help.

Seeking Mobile Beta Testers

Beginning today and running through the end of July, we are asking customers to help us put the new app through its paces to ensure it meets quality standards and functional needs. All you have to do is download the new app, explore the various features and workflows, and provide feedback.

If we are able to meet all of our development and testing milestones – which includes this crucial customer Beta testing period – the new iOS & Android mobile application will be ready for general availability on August 15!

If you’re interested in testing out the new app, please visit the Get Started Guide in the Knowledge Base, which includes links to download the new application and provides step-by-step info on how to test and provide feedback. Still not sure? We invite you to take this quick self-guided tour, which gives you a sneak peek at some of the exciting things the new app has to offer.

A Few Things to Know

As you will see, the Get Started Guide is thorough and covers everything you need to get going, but here are a few helpful technical details to keep in mind:

Downloading the App: The new mobile app is available for both Android and iOS (the Windows application is not part of the Beta program).

  • For iOS devices, you will need to click on the link in the Guide to download the app. It is part of Apple’s Test Flight program, which allows us to run a more streamlined Beta process but means it is not searchable in the app store.

  • For Android devices, you can click the link in the Guide or find the app by searching “SafetyChain M3” in the Android store. If your organization utilizes a Mobile Device Management (MDM) strategy, we recommend utilizing the link. If you are unsure, please consult with your IT team.

Selecting Your Environment: The Beta app can be used to access both your Train and Live environments – all you need to do is enter the tenant name you would like to use when logging in.

  • The Live environment will not be accessible on iOS until Tuesday, July 23

  • Remember, the app is fully operational, so any Forms you complete in your Live environment will create a real record in the system.

Providing Feedback: There are two ways to provide your comments when testing – directly in the app via the pop-up text boxes, OR by sending an email to support@safetychain.com.

Multiple SafetyChain Apps on Your Device: Both the Beta app and the current app can be downloaded and simultaneously used on the same device. To differentiate between the two, you will see that the Beta app has a gray icon while the current app is in full color.

What’s Next?

The new app you download for the Beta test period will soon become the official SafetyChain mobile app for everyone so you are welcome to continue using it even after the Beta test period closes on July 31. As a reminder, all customers who use iOS & Android mobile devices will be required to have the new application installed on their devices by September 30, so this Beta period gives you a great head start!

We hope you are excited to begin using the new application. Not only does it provide a greatly enhanced user experience, but it is built on a scalable platform that can adapt and grow as your needs evolve – all while ensuring the highest level of security for your data. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your CSM.
