Announcing SafetyChain App Version 1.25!

This is a big one! Version 1.25 is packed with major under-the-hood upgrades to make the app faster, more reliable, and ready for the future. We've also rebuilt the camera experience, improved how photos are handled, and fixed several bugs.

Important Notice for Android Users

In order to stay in line with current Google Play Store app requirements, the minimum required Android version for SafetyChain App is now Android 7.0 (Nougat). Devices running older versions will no longer be able to receive app updates. You can check your version under Settings > About Phone > Android Version.

The app will continue to be available on devices running a version of Android older than 8.0, but those devices will not receive updates to the SafetyChain App going forward.

We've upgraded the app's core technology, including React Native and the Android SDK, to meet the latest performance and security standards. This major overhaul results in a significantly better experience for you.

New Features & UI Improvements

• All-New Custom Camera: We've introduced a new custom camera for a more consistent experience across all devices. This unified approach helps our team resolve any camera-related bugs much faster and paves the way for exciting future features.

  • Heads up: Taking a photo works just as it did before; you will just notice a new style for the buttons for a cleaner look.

• Smarter Image Handling: Your photos will now upload much faster and take up less storage space, all while keeping their quality sharp and clear.

• Streamlined Search: The search bar is now more consistent across all tabs, with a clear button and helpful placeholder text.

• New Icons on Saved Tab: We've replaced the text buttons “All Saved Forms” and “My Saved Forms” with a new icon to create a cleaner, less cluttered look.

Bug Fixes

• Search Bar Visibility: Fixed an issue where the search bar could be hidden or inaccessible on some tablets.

• Incorrect Validation Message: Corrected a bug where a warning about existing tasks or saved forms would appear when opening a form from the Forms tab, even when none existed.
