Announcing SafetyChain App Version 1.24!

We’re excited to announce that SafetyChain Mobile App version 1.24 is now available for download. This release focuses on improving stability and refining the user interface. It contains all of the new features, enhancements, and bug fixes described below, plus any fixes released via Over-the-Air (OTA) updates to the previous build (1.23).

Important Note on Future Device Support

In a future release in the coming months, we will be updating our app's framework. As part of this change, we will be ending support for devices running Android 7 or older.

To ensure uninterrupted access to the SafetyChain Mobile App, please update any devices running older versions of Android to a more current version (Android 11 or later), or plan to replace them.

Enhancements & Improvements

Resubmit All Button on Submissions Tab
For parity with our M2 app, we've restored the "Resubmit All" button on the Submissions tab. You can now resubmit all pending, processing, or failed submissions with a single tap, saving you valuable time. To resubmit an individual item, you can still long-press the submission card and select "Resend."

Improved Form Submission Reliability
We've added more validation checkpoints to the form submission process. This adds more protection against errors that can occur due to an unstable internet connection or slow loading times.

Enhanced Scrolling on Submissions Tab
To give you more screen real estate, the scrollable area on the Submissions tab now begins directly below the filter chips. The search and filter area will hide as you scroll down and reappear when you scroll back to the top.

Key Bug Fixes

• Gallery Access on Affected Devices: Resolved a bug that prevented users with certain Zebra scanner tablets and select other devices from accessing their device's photo gallery.

• Inactive Task Filtering: Fixed an issue where task submissions with statuses like "recalled" or "expired" were not appearing under the correct filter. We've also renamed the "Task Expired" filter to "Inactive Tasks" to more accurately group all submissions that are no longer active.

• In-App Chart Timestamp Display: Corrected a visual bug where timestamps on in-app chart tiles would omit a leading zero for minutes (e.g., 12:05 PM was incorrectly displayed as 12:5 PM). The underlying data was not affected.

• iOS Small-Screen Menu: Fixed a display issue on smaller iOS devices where the slide-out menu was not correctly filling the screen.

• UI Overlay: Resolved a UI glitch that caused a gray overlay to incorrectly appear on some pop-ups, blocking user interaction.
