Announcing SafetyChain App Version 1.22
Today, Tuesday, 3/11/2025, we released SafetyChain App version 1.22. This update includes fixes that resolve issues identified in previous versions, along with several enhancements to improve overall performance. Below, you will find a summary of the most notable updates, with a complete list of fixes at the end of this communication.
Notable Features:
Form Navigator is here! We're excited to re-introduce Form Navigator in the new SafetyChain App! This feature allows you to instantly jump to any field or section within a form. No more scrolling! Form Navigator makes it easier than ever to complete and review your forms quickly and accurately.
Select the icon to slide out the Form Navigator panel:
In the Form Navigator slide out, select an available field to navigate directly to it. Or, select the Sections tab and navigate to a specific form section (available if sections are configured on the form).
Improved Task Status notifications! Previously, users only received a task status notification if a task was already completed, recalled, expired, or reassigned after submitting the form. With this update, users now receive this notification when selecting the task, preventing them from spending time on work that is no longer required of their workgroup. This improvement helps save time and ensures everyone stays informed.

App Performance & Reliability:
Network and authentication improvements to reduce records stuck in “Pending” status: We understand that record submissions being stuck in a "Pending" state can be frustrating, and we are actively working to minimize these occurrences. In this release, we have enhanced the app's ability to maintain network connections and refresh authorizations, particularly during interruptions. While these improvements are expected to significantly reduce pending record issues, we will continue to monitor performance and refine these processes to ensure reliable submissions.
Stability enhancements to reduce app crashes and unexpected logouts: We recognize that app stability is critical for you to get work done, and it is our primary focus. While this fix addresses a known cause of app crashes and unexpected logouts, we will continue to monitor the app and address any remaining variables to ensure full stability. In this release, we have implemented fixes to ensure the session timer resets correctly after successful login, which will help to prevent premature logouts and app crashes in many cases.
Improved form submission performance in low-network areas: This update fixed an issue that could sometimes cause brief interruptions when switching networks, allowing for more reliable connections.
Forms & Records:
Resolved saved form data issues: We have fixed issues that were preventing data, attachments (both field-level and form-level), and comments from being properly saved, ensuring your information is reliably stored.
Fixed form display issues: Resolved issues where compliance values (minimum, maximum, target) were missing on Aggregate fields and where Corrections were disappearing when navigating between fields.
Submit & Repeat carryover fixes: Resolved issues where unintended field data and Direct Observations were being carried over incorrectly during Submit & Repeat, specifically for forms configured with GS1 Barcode scanning.
Audit summary: Resolved an issue related to the calculation of scores on Audit-type forms.
