Enhanced Operational SPC Charts

What’s New

SafetyChain's Operational SPC Charts are getting a refresh. A new Settings panel in form and chart configuration gives you more control over how chart data is displayed to operators in-app and on resulting records — so the data they see is relevant, readable, and immediately actionable.

Specification Limits on SPC Charts Display USL, LSL, and Target lines directly on in-app SPC charts. Compliance limits you've already configured on forms are now surfaced visually, giving users richer context right where they're working.

Hide/Show Chart Elements Control which SPC elements are visible — including control limit lines, color bands, and the secondary range chart. Set decimal precision to match your charting needs.

Plot Point Limits Set a fixed number of plot points, or configure a date range — such as Today, This Week, or a custom window — so charts always reflect the most timely and relevant data.

New Chart Legend with Toggle A new interactive legend in Record viewing areas lets users toggle the visibility of plot points, control limit lines, and run rules, making it easier to focus on what matters.

Dynamic Chart Scaling Charts now scale automatically based on available data, ensuring outliers are always visible rather than pushing other data points out of view.

Simplified Chart Labels X and Y axis labels have been streamlined to reduce clutter and eliminate overlapping text, making charts easier to read at a glance.

Availability

This enhancement will be available soon for our Core/Mobile (Android/iOS) apps and is timed for activation along with the release of the Mobile 1.27 build.

Important Note: Our PC app is undergoing some required under-the-hood updates. We plan to bring it into parity with these new features at a later date. Keep an eye out for future updates.
